Martin Stainthorp joined Dowd, Bloch, Bennett, Cervone, Auerbach & Yokich LLP in 2026. He is a 2021 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law with a certificate in Labor and Employment Law. Prior to joining the firm, Martin represented employees in labor and employment matters at Legal Aid Chicago and Workplace Law Partners, litigating matters in state and federal court involving discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.

Martin has experience handling a variety of labor and employment law matters, including administrative proceedings before the NLRB, EEOC, OSHA, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Labor, and the Illinois Civil Service Commission, as well as labor arbitrations.

Martin is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.

Before beginning his legal career, Martin worked as an organizer with UNITE HERE Local 1 and the Service Employees International Union.
