George A. Luscombe III

Partner

George A. Luscombe III is a 2006 graduate of the New York University School of Law. He joined Dowd, Bloch, Bennett, Cervone, Auerbach & Yokich LLP in 2012, and became a partner in 2016.

Before joining the firm, George practiced as a litigator at a large Chicago law firm and clerked for the Honorable Milton I. Shadur, Senior United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

He has broad experience in complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts. George also regularly represents clients before the NLRB and state labor boards as well as in labor arbitrations. He frequently counsels clients on organizing campaigns and internal union governance matters, in contract negotiations, and with regard to legislative initiatives and administrative rulemaking. He also represents clients on issues arising under the Illinois Pension Code, including successfully arguing two constitutional pension cases before the Illinois Supreme Court.

George is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits.

Before beginning his legal career, George was an organizer with the Service Employees International Union.
