Elizabeth L. Rowe
Elizabeth L. Rowe is a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. She joined Dowd, Bloch, Bennett, Cervone, Auerbach & Yokich LLP in 2014.
Prior to joining the firm she worked in the legal department of the Service Employees International Union. Her practice focuses primarily on benefit fund representation, including general representation on matters of ERISA, HIPAA, and Internal Revenue Code compliance, benefit claims and appeals, and IRS audits and investigations, and representation in federal court litigation to enforce employer contribution obligations and to defend funds against claims.
She is litigating a proposed class action case in federal court on behalf of hundreds of participants seeking the right to have their retirement and severance money transferred to the retirement plan in which they and their union now participate.
She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois, the Supreme Court of Maryland, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and Central District of Illinois.
