Melissa J. Auerbach

Melissa J. Auerbach graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School. She represents unions before federal and state administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Illinois Labor Relations Board, and the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board, and in labor arbitrations.
Melissa has extensive litigation experience in representing unions before federal and state trial and appellate courts, including in cases involving enforcement of union contracts, actions to compel arbitration, actions to enforce arbitration awards, and discrimination claims. She has also litigated cases brought under the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Act. She counsels unions with respect to organizing campaigns and strategies, collective bargaining, and proposed legislation. She also advises individual employees with respect to employment contracts and other employment matters.
Melissa is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
Melissa is admitted to the Illinois bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh, Third, Tenth, and District of Columbia Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar), Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, and Eastern District of Wisconsin.
